Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Damcut app collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information. Some app features use Firebase and the Apple App Store payment system.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: user ID, email address, display name, and login provider information through Firebase Authentication
• Purchase and wallet information: coin balance, coin ledger, purchase events, subscription status, and entitlement information
• Device information: app version, platform, language, time zone, push notification token, and notification permission status
• Operational information: error logs, administrator adjustment history, and audit records needed for payment verification and refund handling

2. Photos and Edited Results

Photos captured by the user, photos selected from the library, and edited results are processed and stored on the user's device by default. Unless an upload or cloud sync feature is clearly provided, Damcut does not store original user photos on its servers.

Uploaded backgrounds, pasted stickers, and project data used to create a custom cut are also stored on the user's device unless otherwise stated. If the app is deleted, the device is changed, or device data is removed, that data cannot be recovered.

3. Face Data

Damcut does not collect face data for face recognition, identity verification, face feature extraction, face template creation, face matching, or biometric authentication. Photos captured or selected by the user may include faces, but those photos are processed on-device to provide editing features chosen by the user, such as frame composition, filters, sticker placement, and background removal.

Damcut does not sell, share, or upload face data or original photos containing faces to its servers. Edited results and re-editing data are stored on the user's device when the user chooses to save them, and are removed when the user deletes them from the library or deletes app data.

4. Purposes of Use

• Identifying signed-in users and showing account status
• Managing coin balances, purchase history, subscription status, and owned resources
• Verifying App Store purchases and processing refunds and subscription renewals
• Responding to customer inquiries, investigating errors, preventing abuse, and improving service stability
• Providing purchase, subscription, and operational notifications when push notifications are allowed

5. Third-Party Services

Damcut may use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Firebase Hosting, and the Apple App Store payment system to provide the service. Each service may process information under its own privacy standards.

6. Retention Period

Account, purchase, coin ledger, subscription, and entitlement information is retained as long as needed to provide the service, verify payments, handle disputes, and prevent abuse. Operational logs may be stored for a set period under internal policy and then deleted or moved to a separate audit store. Information that must be kept under law is retained for the required period.

7. Security

Monetary data is not changed directly by the app; it is verified and processed on the server. Coin grants, deductions, and subscription status changes leave ledger records, and administrator actions are recorded in audit logs. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

8. User Rights

Users may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or inquiries about their personal information and account. Purchase and subscription information is connected to App Store payment records, so immediate deletion may be limited for legal, settlement, refund, or dispute-handling reasons.

9. Children's Privacy

Damcut does not knowingly collect children's personal information without consent required by applicable law. If a guardian believes that a child's information has been collected, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated due to service changes, legal changes, or operational policy changes. Important changes will be announced through the app or this web page.
